GBBA Executives call on Director General Of NSA

President of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBBA), Mr. Ato Van-Ess together with New York Square Partner for Basket Ball, Mr. Daniel Isaacs, and Executives of GBBA paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of National Sports Authority (NSA), Prof. Peter Twumasi on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.

The visit was to officially seek the Authority’s assistance in obtaining land from the government to set up an indoor basketball facility with a five-thousand-seater capacity for the federation. This will enable the federation to market the discipline well and scout for potential Basketball players, especially from the grassroots level which they believe can gradually form a National team and will make Basketball widely accepted in Ghana and Africa just like the other Sporting Disciplines.

Tamale: New York Square initiates water and basketball project in Changli

New York Square, LLC, a private enterprise created to develop partnerships in the fields of sports and entertainment has taken a significant step toward enhancing the lives of the community in Changli, a suburb of Tamale, by sinking a borehole. 

This borehole marks the preliminary phase of a larger project, as New York Square, in collaboration with Ghana Basketball, endeavours to construct a community basketball court in Tamale.

The commitment of New York Square involves the construction of 10 basketball courts across Ghana, each accompanied by a borehole to address the water needs of the respective communities.
